Kingston Chen Taijiquan Practice Group
Structured Physical Skill
Developing real movement quality, balance, leg strength, and joint coordination through clear instruction.
Why This Matters
Many physical pursuits become harder to sustain as we age, depend on equipment or facilities, or require a group of people. Taijiquan is different.
Build a Body You Can Keep Using
Develop stability, leg strength, coordination, mobility, and whole-body movement through a practice designed to grow with you for decades.
Learn Something With Real Depth
Each stage becomes the foundation for the next. The basics aren't something you leave behind—they become increasingly sophisticated.
Both Solo and Partner
Fully portable—no special equipment or fixed location required. The core form can be practiced alone; partner work (Push Hands) adds another dimension when training with others.
Progressive Layers of Practice
This practice of Taijiquan is built in layers with each stage becoming the foundation for the next. The basics aren't something you leave behind—they become increasingly sophisticated.
Who Is This For?
Whether you have decades of experience or have never taken a single class, our training is structured to welcome you wherever you are.
Complete Beginners

People Who Want to Move Better

Lifelong Practice
Build a physical practice that can continue evolving for decades.
How We Teach
Our training follows a progressive physical methodology that develops the body from the ground up. Each stage builds the specific structure, mechanics, and physical capabilities needed for the next, providing a clear path.
Taijiquan Is a Language of the Body
Principles describe what should happen; methodology provides the path for developing the ability to make it happen.
What Training Looks Like
We train outdoors in small, dedicated groups. Instruction focuses on progressive form practice (First Road / Yilu) and cooperative Push Hands partner movement drills.
Taijiquan — Form (Yilu) & Push Hands (Tuishou)
A single, comprehensive training session combining both form practice and Tuishou (Push Hands).
